I need to obtaing the userid of WK2 in a HTML page, for sending to a
servlet.

WK2? Do you mean W2k, as in Windows 2000? So the currently logged in domain
user?
Easiest way to do it is by using a filter and http://jcifs.samba.org there are
some other ways bu JCIFS is trivial to implement and the other ways lead to
much hair pulling. :)
