[jira] [Updated] (HADOOP-7387) Change rpm to ignore configuration
files when uninstalling
Eric Yang updated HADOOP-7387:
------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
Status: Resolved (was: Patch Available)
Brian is right, the rpm behavior is not changeable, see:
And there are good reasons for .rpmsave backup files from package manager prospective. Hence, this is a won't fix.

> When uninstalling RPM files, the config files are renamed from core-site.xml to core-site.xml.rpmsave. It would be nice if config file does not get renamed.
