Pull request is available on the upstream github repository: https://github.com/3rdparty/stout/pull/4 

There are further modifications that have been made for libprocess and a pull request will be coming for that as well. 

Once those two libraries have been properly packaged, they can have AC_(checks) in the mesos package.
