Can we use it by default ?
Can we cleanup our project.css. We only have to keep our custom header
settings ?

Brett,

I think that this new style is very better than the old one. It's
very more professionnal than the red-grey. It's why I asked to Lukas
to add it. I didn't see that m2 didn't use it by default.

However I agree that it's better for us to keep the maven site
recognisable (even if it's really easy for any user to get our css
from the web site). What I can do before the release is to modify the
stylus theme to use another colors scheme (perhaps with red & green).
I'll try also to change the icons.

Lukas, can you give me a sample to reproduce your layout problem.
I'll try to fix it too.

Arnaud

It turned out that the layout problems I experienced in some projects
were due to an organization logo that was too big. That had the strange
effect of pushing the navigation menu into the center of the screen.

I am not a css wizard, I just noticed that when I removed the
#breadcrumbs section from maven-stylus.css, the problem disappeared.
It's probably something that can be fixed most easily by someone more
knowledgeable than me.

However, I don't think that this is a reason for not including it in the
xdoc plugin. If there are any objections, please raise them now as I
intent to call for a vote on the xdoc plugin soon.

I guess they make a big difference - either way is fine. But if it isn't
working, probably best to leave it out until it is?

Is there a particular reason not to include it? I thought, since we have
it already, we might as well use it and make it available. I am not in
favor of making it default btw, as I like the red-grey theme much better...

The Maven site will be sufficiently distinguished, I think, by the logos
on top. I doubt anybody will use that for their projects...

Please *don't* use it by default. In fact, I see no reason why this
should have been included in the xdoc plugin.

It's for the Maven site. While I'd be happy with a "similar but
different" style being included and made default, I like that the Maven
site is still recognisable from the rest.

In m2, the red-and-grey site is still the default.

I am seeing some weird layout problems when using stylus with some of my
custom projects, until I don't understand where that comes from, I
prefer not to use it by default.

I don't know what you mean with 'cleanup our project.css', we are not
using any project.css files?
