This issue tracks the removal of libevent support from the Windows build of Mesos. Per MESOS-8668, libevent is not truly usable as a backend for libprocess, and was replaced with the Windows Thread Pool API (currently usable via {{-DENABLE_LIBWINIO}}). In a future version (probably the version _after_ 1.7.0) we will remove libevent support from Windows entirely.

 

Note that this is probably blocked on adding SSL support on top of of the libwinio implementation.
