   I would like to resurrect this PR.  There currently are some conflicts in the pom and the .spelling file, neither of which are actually material to the content of the PR.  As this is currently a contrib extension and the PR is so old, the path we are going to take is that I am going to resolve the conflicts and merge the PR so that all of the credit for the original files goes to the original author.  We will then start making adjustments post-merge.
