[jira] [Resolved] (CASSANDRA-3695) Hibernating nodes that die never go away

Brandon Williams resolved CASSANDRA-3695.
-----------------------------------------

    Resolution: Not A Problem

Punting on this. I can't see a way to solve this without special-casing HIBERNATE as a third kind of state in a lot of places, and I think the two kinds we have (alive, dead) provide a good logical delineation already that I don't want to taint.

> Title says it all. We should be able to monitor these via the gossip heartbeat like other nodes, but it's tricky since it's a dead state.
