[jira] [Commented] (GUACAMOLE-1089) Ubuntu 18.04 & last freerdp2-dev package update

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-1089?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17124003#comment-17124003 ]

Mike Jumper commented on GUACAMOLE-1089:
----------------------------------------

{quote}
A recent update to the freerdp2-dev (2.1.1) package on Ubuntu has broken the Guacamole compatibilty.
{quote}

After applying the update to freerdp2-dev, did you rebuild guacamole-server?

{quote}
RDP connection is instantly closed without any error message.
{quote}

There should be an error message, both on the client side (where this message will be vague) and on the server side within the logs (where this message should be more specific).

{quote}
I had to downgrade to 2.0.0 to make it work again.
{quote}

Unless there were rebuilds of guacamole-server after each of these changes, my suspicion is that these two versions of FreeRDP are not ABI-compatible, and software built against 2.0.0 will not work against 2.1.1 unless recompiled.

> Not sure if this should be there, but, as you advice to install this package in your doc, I think, you should be aware of it.
