[jira] [Created] (INFRA-4209) Misleading link on translate pages

Misleading link on translate pages
----------------------------------

                 Key: INFRA-4209
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4209
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
         Environment: https://translate.apache.org/
            Reporter: Sebb

The main pages on https://translate.apache.org/ have the following text:

See this wiki page for more details

where "this wiki page" is a link to
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INFRA/translate+pootle+service+auth+levels

This is very misleading, as the Wiki only covers authorization levels, and is not the most important link to follow.

Please could the link be changed to clarify its purpose?, e.g.

"See this wiki page for more details on the authorization levels."

The main body should also clearly link to the actual help pages.

There are Help links top right and bottom, but that is not what people tend to read first.

Sebb commented on INFRA-4209:
-----------------------------

The Wiki page itself could be clearer - it's not obvious that that this also covers how to apply; this is buried at the bottom of the page.

For anyone that has used Pootle before, the pages might make sense, but for anyone coming fresh to the pages it is unnecessarily difficult to follow.

<gmcdonald> it also covers how a project can apply, much more important than generic help pages. It will also be expanded to cover more information. I'll prefer to leave it as is
