After submitting a http request Jmeter is showing response data in view result
tree. but if we try to write the response data to a file, it is not writting.
even though Jmeter is providing an option to save response data in the simple
data writer.

Works for me. Please provide more details.
Note that the output is only saved during a test run - you can't save it after
the run has completed; you have to provide the file name *before* starting the test.
