I looked into the first issue a little bit. The easy fix would be to use {{process::ID::generate("master")}} in {{Master::Master}}, but that will break stuff: right now, {{StandaloneMasterDetector}} assumes that the master process has the ID {{master}} (https://github.com/apache/mesos/blob/master/src/master/detector.cpp#L245). Not sure if there's an easy, backward-compatible fix here...
