[jira] [Commented] (GROOVY-9926) Groovy documentation does not describe how to instantiate empty maps

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GROOVY-9926?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17276634#comment-17276634 ]

Paul King commented on GROOVY-9926:
-----------------------------------

There are over 30 examples of using the empty map, e.g.:

https://docs.groovy-lang.org/latest/html/documentation/#Collections-Maps
https://docs.groovy-lang.org/latest/html/documentation/#_maps_2
https://docs.groovy-lang.org/latest/html/documentation/#_quoted_identifiers

But yes, having another example when first discussing map literals would improve the doco.

> It would be helpful if the Groovy documentation (3.0.7) had examples on how to instantiate an empty map: https://docs.groovy-lang.org/latest/html/documentation/#_maps
