This is a very important feature for ESME.
I am wondering if we should add this to a later release (1.1 for  
instance) though? I feel we have more urgent issues to fix for our 1.0  
release.

How do we use the LDAP-based roles? As a basis for pools?
Should we take user data from the LDAP? If so, how do we decide which
parameters are necessary in ESME and what happens if they don't exist
in the LDAP?
