portlet j2-admin unavailable using installer

Hello,

I am new to jetspeed, but I decided to sta	rt with Jetspeed 2 to test
JSR-168 compliance to portlets.
I installed jetspeed 2 using once the Jetspeed2.0-derby-install.jar and once
the Jetspeed2.0-MultiDb-install.jar on MySQL 5, but each time I end up with
the j2-admin portlet being unavailable.
I am using the java version "1.5.0_06" on a windows XP machine. The tomcat
server is the default that comes with the installer.

I suppose that this portlet is used to login to the portal, since I can not
find a login on the portal home page anywhere on my screen.
There are other portlets that are visible like the "Pick A Number", "Role
Security Test", "I-Frame prototype portlet", "User Info Test" and "bookmark
portlet 2".
But I guess the most essential ones are missing.

Can anyone help me with this?

Luc Carpentier
