[users@httpd] Missing core dump

I'm getting sig11s in Apache and am trying to debug. But I can't get it 
to dump core. I've set "CoreDumpDirectory core" and made the 
$serverroot/core directory writable by apache. I've done a "ulimit -c 
unlimited" before starting the server. Yet I don't get any core dumps. 
What's missing?

This is -HEAD (as of yesterday) on Linux.
