Release 4.2: Regressions for investigation

Again, I have only looked at a few of these.

It would be valuable for QA folks to retest with 4.1.2.

The Mac one with Base is a very big deal and, until we have a dedicated
Mac builder, person or buildbot, it unlikely it will be resolved.
