Karaf 4.0.6 / pax-exam 4.8.0 hangs

Folks,

Since we upgraded to 4.0.6 of Karaf, our integration tests sometimes
hang. The karaf log is uninformative.

And here is one of the surefire JVM that is supposed to test it.

If anyone has any ideas as to what causes the clog, I'd be most grateful.
