Transactions

           Summary: Transactions
           Product: JMeter
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Main
        AssignedTo: jmeter-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: timothyreaves@westfieldgrp.com

Transactions would require two objects; Start & Stop. The transaction simply measures the time
between the two.

In testing a large (number of pages) application, you will want data on how
long it takes to complete each stage of the test, not just individual pages or the entire thing.
This allows a finer grain information gathering to occur.

So throughout the HTTP Request
elements, the transactions would allow timing of each different aspect of the application.
