### What would you like to happen?

Can you upgrade slf4j to 2.0.17 instead, because it brings less dependencies, see this link: https://central.sonatype.com/artifact/org.slf4j/slf4j-jdk14/2.0.17/versions

The number of dependencies for 2.0.17 is 3, which is the same as 2.0.16.
I think you mistakenly view the number of packages depending on the slf4j as the number of dependencies.
We just upgrade to 2.0.16, which is not a small step. We will let things settle a bit before moving to the next patch version.
