has anyone produced a 2.8.1 release, for maven central?

I'm running log4j2 in an OSGI environment,
I can't see how to remove the properties as per the workaround suggested in
the ticket.
Should I drop back to an earlier version? 2.7 or 2.6,
would the bug still be there ?

2.8 was just released 2 weeks ago and there have only been 5 changes since then. We don’t typically release quite that often.
