JAMES-IMAP and Google Summer of Code

Hello,

I am currently thinking about trying to participate in the Google Summer of
Code program and am looking at the IMAP implementation for JAMES. I am
wondering is if anyone else is doing this project? Also, what kind of and
how much help would be provided by the mentor(s) on a project like this?
This is something that really interests me because I actually have a JAMES
server running right now but would much rather use IMAP than POP3. If you
could give me more information, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
