Interest in contributing

I'm interested in becoming a contributor for the project.  Please let me
know how I can participate.

explaining the general idea of how to participate and join a project:

Aldrin,

You might want to submit an Apache iCLA. It's not required to get
started, but if you end up joining the project it will be.

As soon as we get the code imported to Apache you can start to submit
incremental improvements.
