how to get hold of form data from form login page

My login page contains not only j_username, j_password, but also some other form data.  Tomcat container managed authentication is used.  

I have been trying to get hold the other form data in vain.  It seems that the container get hold on them first and make them unavailable thereafter.  

How to get hold of them and still use container managed anthentication?
