The name "cocoon" is in the path because we started this project as a sub project of Cocoon and we needed a different path than META-INF/spring as that one is already partially used by Spring itself. But in the end "cocoon" is just a directory name, we could have named it "foo" or "bar", it wouldn't change a thing :)
