[jira] [Commented] (PHOENIX-7378) Update Connectors to use Hbase 2.6.0

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX-7378?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17872787#comment-17872787 ]

Istvan Toth commented on PHOENIX-7378:
--------------------------------------

Our (my) generaly policy is to build the project with the oldest supported HBase minor version, to avoid dependence on newer features.

Getting the build and tests working with HBase 2.6 is a nice to have, but not necessarily a requirement, as it probably requires a a lot of dependency changes (at least versions), which would realistically requires adding different maven profiles for them.
