Tomee/Openejb can't seem to find jsp precompiled servlet class

I am having this error:
Caused by: org.apache.tomee.catalina.TomEERuntimeException:

org.apache.openejb.core.TempClassLoader.loadClass(TempClassLoader.java:67)

 This the setup:
1. versionMessage.jsp is precompiled via org.apache.jasper.JspC
2. web.xml is declaration is as follows:

  <servlet>
        <servlet-name>org.apache.jsp.versionMessage_jsp</servlet-name>
        <servlet-class>org.apache.jsp.versionMessage_jsp</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
        <servlet-name>org.apache.jsp.versionMessage_jsp</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>/versionMessage.jsp</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
 3.If I don't precompile the jsp, just raw jsp is included in the war, there
is no problem.
 4. I am using tomee webprofile 1.5.1
 5. I tried copying the org.apache.* from the classes folder to
work\Catalina\localhost\_ and in the web context folder but still didn't
work.

What could I be missing?

<servlet-class>de.test.xml</servlet-class> is correct?

isn't it <servlet-class>de.test.xml.TestXMLServlet</servlet-class>?

It happens aswell with the Sample shown by mommymutya Feb 01, 2013; 4:34am. I
cannot post my EAR (or also tested just with WAR), because of restrictions
by my company. But if needed, I'm gonna build small example out of the big
one, which I can post.

Hi Romain,
i have the same Problem as mentioned above. I use apache-tomee-plus-1.5.2
and try to deploy a WAR, following Error (first) occures:

When i have the TomEE in Eclipse as a Tomcat 7, it works without any errors.
But when I use TomEE outside of Eclipse, ill get a long Errorlist: Log
(Pastebin) <http://pastebin.com/3yeVpPTP> Its ca. Line 160-280.

I do not see, how you solved the Problem here, it should be fixed in 1.5.2 -
but I am working with this version. I also tried a Snapshot from 1.6.0, but
same issue.

Thanks in advance,
Tina

Re: Tomee/Openejb can't seem to find jsp precompiled servlet class

Hi Mr. Romain,
I've tried deploying a web app with a single compiled jsp in Tomcat7 and it
worked.
However for Tomee 1.5.a webprofile it doesn't. I used jdk1.7 for both.
Attached is the app, its just a zipped file of the exploded folder - Sample.
I just dropped it into webapps folder and run as:
http://localhost:8080/Sample/test.jsp

Sample.zip <http://openejb.979440.n4.nabble.com/file/n4660528/Sample.zip>

Could it have something to do with web.xml?
Thanks in advance! :)

Hi,

can you reproduce it in a shareable project?
