The same way it "keeps track" of the source files: by comparing their timestamp 
to the timestamp of the target files.

Of course, if the design of the filter implementations makes it _difficult_ 
(not all filter types are file-based) it's understandable that this bug won't 
be fixed.

But it would be _possible_, though.
