[jira] Created: (MRELEASE-75) Release perform injects parent pom into child and checks in for next development iteration

Release perform injects parent pom into child and checks in for next development iteration
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: MRELEASE-75
         URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRELEASE-75
     Project: Maven 2.x Release Plugin
        Type: Bug

    Reporter: Brian Fox
    Priority: Blocker

My child poms effectively get merged with the parents and checked in for the next development iteration. This basically breaks all inheritance completely and I end up doing more work undoing it than if I just did the release by hand.
