Scheduler how to?

I'd like to look at the scheduler features included with Cocoon
but I'm having some trouble getting started.

I've looked at http://wiki.apache.org/cocoon/Scheduler and the list
archives.  It seems like there's nothing that matches recent Cocoon
setups.  I can not find the strings exclude.webapp.scratchpad and
exclude.scratchpad anyplace.  Adding the sample entries to the cocoon
conf file causes a class not found exception.

I'm running both Cocoon 2.1.4 and 2.1.5.1

Is there any further information on the scheduling feature anyplace?
