[jira] [Reopened] (GUACAMOLE-723) Support display of multiple connections within same tab

Michael Jumper reopened GUACAMOLE-723:
--------------------------------------

As of these changes, I'm noticing some issues with menu behavior:

* The "Share" menu no longer closes when an option is clicked. I believe this is due to changes made to the {{guacMenu}} directive to allow browsing the contents of the connection switching menu.
* The portion of the Guacamole menu containing the connection name can considerably overlap other parts of the header when the connection name is long. The interface should account for this.
* The drop down of the new connection selection menu is aligned relative to its right edge, causing the menu to overflow off the left side of the screen if the relevant part of the header is smaller than the width of the drop down.
* The connection selection menu continues to render as a drop down, even if there are no other connections available. This isn't horrible, but it could lead to confusion.

> Currently, switching between connections within Guacamole requires going back and forth between the current connection and the home screen. While multiple connections may technically be open simultaneously, and thumbnails of those connections update in real-time on the home screen, switching between connections still requires navigation between two pages.
> There should exist a convenient mechanism for:
> * Displaying multiple active connections within the same tab for monitoring and fast switching (iconified / thumbnailed connections ... like picture-in-picture)
> * Splitting the current tab vertically or horizontally such that multiple active connections are equivalently visible (with keyboard focus following mouse interaction)
> * Quickly opening a new connection without going all the way back to the home screen
> Besides being convenient and powerful in itself, such an interface can form the foundation of support for broadcasting input events across multiple connections, as is commonly necessary when managing multiple servers via several open terminals.
