[4.2] [KVM]

Hi Guys,

I'm unable to deploy system VMs on KVM using 4.2 anymore

Cloudstack-management.log says:

com.cloud.exception.AgentUnavailableException: Resource [Host:1] is unreachable: Host 1: Unable to start instance due to Unable to start VM[SecondaryStorageVm|s-13-VM] due to error in finalizeStart, not retrying

I can see primary storage mounted on the KVM host and I can see the system VM image appear, the patchdisk image appears but doesn't get renamed to s-13-VM-patchdisk

Any Ideas anyone?

I'm not sure where the official 4.2 one is, but these should work:

RE: [4.2] [KVM]

Posted by Paul Angus <pa...@shapeblue.com>.
The problem may be that I'm still using the older system VM templates, what are the paths for the new templates?

management-server-install-systemvm.xml on the 4.2 branch still has the older system vm paths.

I don't see anything alarming in the libvirt/qemu logs provided, the management server simply states that the vm failed to start. The agent log will tell you why.
