[VOTE] 2.9.0 release candidate 1

This is a vote to release Impala 2.9.0. The artifacts for testing are at <
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/incubator/impala/2.9.0/RC1/>. The
git tag is 2.8.0-rc1, tree hash 93a1ac914dab21c4e08c630178aa6f8235f2d6f6,
visible at <
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=incubator-impala.git;a=tree;h=93a1ac914dab21c4e08c630178aa6f8235f2d6f6
>.

Please vote +1 or -1. -1 votes should be accompanied by an explanation of
the reason. Only PPMC members and mentors have binding votes, but other
community members are encouraged to cast non-binding votes. This vote will
pass if there are 3 binding +1 votes and more binding +1 votes than -1
votes.

This wiki page describes how to check the release before you vote:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/IMPALA/DRAFT%3A+How+to+Release

The vote will be open until the end of Wednesday, June 7, California time.
Once the vote passes the Impala PPMC vote, it still must pass the incubator
PMC vote before a release is made.

+1 binding

Downloaded the RC tar ball, verified checksums and signature. Ran the RAT
script. Compiled the source tar locally, started the mini cluster,
loaded a recent data snapshot, ran all tests. All green.

+1 (non-binding)

Downloaded the RC tar ball, verified checksums and signature. Ran the RAT
script. Compiled the source tar locally, started the mini cluster and ran a
few test queries. Everything was smooth.
