Re: Howto link communication events to requests

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for your suggestion.

In answer to your question, I presume that I'm using the CustRequest entity
but as a general user of the system how would I know? I accept that what I'm
about to say is a bit cheeky, but as a user of the system I don't care what
the underlying entity is - I just want the system to provide an easily
accessible method for linking the two entities together.

I would have thought that the easiest option would be to provide a button
(or similar) on either the communication event page or the request page that
would allow me to select a communication and link it to a request.

The method that you proposed does that but it is not particularly obvious
nor is it easy to use without having to know the resource ID's for the two
entities. Given the extremely limited amount of documentation targeted at
users (that I've found so far anyway) I would never have found this solution
on my own.

I have done what you suggested and achieved the result that I desired. I've
added a bookmark in my browser so that I can use this again in the future.

Thanks again...Geoff
