[m2] MavenProxy maven-proxy.rb Proximity
Hi,
Does the CodeHaus MavenProxy work with Maven 2 repositories?
Has anyone had any experience with MavenProxy alternatives:
maven-proxy.rb and Proximity; do they work with Maven 2 respositories?

Hi Michael,
I wrote maven-proxy.rb for use with a maven 2 repository -- that's how I'm
currently using it, and I have had no problems. It's just a pass-through to
the upstream repositories, so whatever directory structure is asked from it,
it will attempt to look for that same structure from the upstream
repositories.
Cheers,
/Nick

For the record, maven-proxy.rb is dumb here also, but I at least gave users
the ability to re-fetch any artifact in the repository from upstream by
simply appending a '?refetch' to the end of the artifact's url.
If anyone tries out maven-proxy.rb and would have use for an automatic cache
invalidation scheme (using either refetches of the checksums or an ETag
mechanism), let me know -- it shouldn't be difficult to implement.
Cheers,
/Nick

Hi Michael,
About proximity: it is a simple Proxy-like app that it COULD be used
with maven1 or 2... but the md5 issue is here also.... (removing by hand
partially downloaded or broken artifacts...).
Proximity currently simply "mirrors" the remote repository-s dirlayout...
