[POLL] Turbine JSP taglib

Is anyone using (or interested in using) the Turbine JSP taglib which is
part of the JSP Service?
It's not easily available and putting it back is being considered.

Thanks,

While I agree with you, there is one small expression that speaks for
JSPs: "Third party taglibs". :-)

(And that the various IT freelancer sites have 100+ offers for "JSP"
and none for "Velocity". :-( )

Well, basically I would hunt down the tags that are hidden in a beta
source archive somewhere, put them into the current tree and check if
they compile. After that, it'll be the job of the people who _use_
them to hunt down the bugs. =:-)

+1 given available resources

-1 since it has to take away from other things that would inject life
into this project

Just count me as 0 don't care

If I had to decide between Velocity and JSP I would definitely go for
Velocity. However, I could not have gotten my company into using Turbine
hadn't it had support for JSP. I've read other similar stories in this
list.
I think that Turbine will have several companies' doors closed unless
JSP can be used for templates.

I'd have to disagree. I do not and will not ever use it, nor
recommend it to others. Jumping into turbine? Great time to jettison
JSP, Velocity is so much better.

Just my two cents.

I'd have to agree with Chris. I am not currently using JSP but I like
knowing its there if I want it.

Yes. I agree. IMHO, the JSP support in Turbine will definitely speed
up Turbine's adoption rate in the j2ee main stream.

I believe that having good JSP support is quite critical to advancing
Turbine. After all, JSP is the MTV of Java web technology.
