Stefan Seelmann resolved DIRSTUDIO-475.
---------------------------------------
Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
Hi Mathias,
I can't repoduce your problem. I was able to connect to localhost and to a virtual machine over IPv6.
Please try again with Studio 1.4.0, it will be release next week. At least you should get a better error message. If so please just reopen this Jira.
Regards,
Stefan

> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: studio-connection
> Affects Versions: 1.3.0
> Environment: Debian Lenny with OpenJDK
> java -version gives:
> java version "1.6.0_0"
> OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.5pre) (6b14-1.5~pre1-3)
> OpenJDK Server VM (build 14.0-b10, mixed mode)
> Apache Directory Studio 1.3.0

> When creating a Connection to a LDAP-Server with an IPv6-Address gives a "java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException"-Error-Message when doing "Check Network Parameters". Using a DNS-FQDN which resolves to the same IPv6-Address anything is ok.
> When trying to connect to the server with an IPv6-Address entered in the Connection-Setup the first Address-Block is ignored and the connection fails to establish.
> Trying with the IPv6-Address in square brackets doesn't work either.
