Up for discussion: would we complicate users' lives with gradle? Gradle usually isn't available by default on most systems. Would Maven, with all its gripes, be a better choice?

> We've discussed having additional subprojects for Hive, Crunch, etc.  These will be much easier to maintain if we migrate to a newer build system such as Gradle.  The current Ant-based solution is pretty complex and could use an overhaul.  I've been experimenting with migrating DataFu to use Gradle.  So far I'm pretty happy with the results.  I will post updates here once I have something more concrete to look at.
