[jira] Created: (MYFACES-265) Remove PRETTY_HTML configuraiton parameter

Remove PRETTY_HTML configuraiton parameter
------------------------------------------

         Key: MYFACES-265
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-265
     Project: MyFaces
        Type: Bug
    Versions: 1.0.9 beta
    Reporter: sean schofield
 Assigned to: sean schofield

This doesn't seem to accomplish anything. My HTML certainly isn't pretty as a result of using it. We have received several complaints of this feature not working on the user's list. Given that there are numerous plugins to help deal with formatting HTML I don't think its worth the time and effort to make this feature work properly.

Martin Marinschek commented on MYFACES-265:
-------------------------------------------

well, there are 56 usages of this PRETTY-HTML parameter in the source, so it is doing something... it's just not used everywhere it should be used; I would suggest leaving it in...

    Resolution: Won't Fix

I think we should leave this in until someone finds the time to fix the codebase to actually render out pretty HTML. right now, it works to a certain extent, but not with many of the custom components.

regards,

Martin
