[VOTE] Release Pig 0.8.1 (candidate 0)

Hi,

I have created a candidate build for Pig 0.8.1. A description of what is new and different is included in the release notes: http://people.apache.org/~daijy/pig-0.8.1-candidate-0/RELEASE_NOTES.txt

Keys used to sign the release are available at http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/pig/trunk/KEYS?view=markup

Please download, test, and try it: http://people.apache.org/~daijy/pig-0.8.1-candidate-0

Should we release this? Please, vote by EOD on Friday, 4/22.

Thanks,
Daniel

+1.

I did the following:

- successfully ran test-commit
- ran piggybank tests. Observed 1 failure in TestDBStorage. However, it works on another system and also the same behavior is observed in trunk
- successfully built and ran tutorial
- reviewed release notes

With 3 +1 from PMC members (Olga Natkovich, Alan Gates, and Daniel Dai) and no -1s the vote passes. Starting the release process.

Daniel

+1.

Built it, ran the commit tests, ran the tutorial, checked the
signature of the download and the md5. All looks good.
