[jira] [Commented] (OPENMEETINGS-147) The green dot that indicates somebody else is speaking produces too many events and is badly performing

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-147?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13264377#comment-13264377 ]

Alexei Fedotov commented on OPENMEETINGS-147:
---------------------------------------------

There is functional duplication between "green dot" and "green bar"

The suggestion is to drop "green dot" indicator and have a smaller horizontal bar on the green bar to serve also for selecting mic sensitivity.

--- max sound microphone can be adjusted

! <- current microphone level (quickly changes between 0 and max when a person speaks)
!
!

moving the horizontal bar to the lowest position is equivalent to mute

> The notification sometimes does just not work, further there are way too many events thrown via LocalConnection and NetConnection.
