Works at 2.3RC4 and fails with 2.3

I have regular expression that is extracting a link from from a page. The regular expression works correctly using 2.3RC4, meaning that it extracts the link. I am using random to select a random link.

I just downloaded and executed the testplan at 2.3 and it fails. I ran it again with 2.3RC4 to make sure that the site pages did to cause the problem and verified that it works at that level of Jmeter.

This is an example of the link:

Yes, your suggestion to look at the log was what identified the missing jar
file --- actually what I noticed was a class not found, but the startup may
have
identified the missing jar.

Thank you for the suggestion --- I will utilize the log file more often in
the future.

OK, thanks for letting us know.

There should have been an error in the jmeter log file about the
missing jar - was this not present?

My BAD!!!

I forgot to put the beanshell jar in my lib directory. I have a beanshell
script that was processing the results of the regular expression and that
was the problem.

Any errors reported?

Do you get an unexpected match, or no match?

You could try enabling debug on the RE; that might help show what is failing.

Just select the RE, and use the Help Menu to enable/disable debug.

Re: Works at 2.3RC4 and fails with 2.3

Posted by sebb <se...@gmail.com>.
There was a change on the RE Post-Processor in 2.3 - it now allows
matching against the Response Code and the Response Message.

JMeter should maintain the previous setting - however it is worth
checking that one of these is not selected by mistake.

Otherwise, I don't think there was any change in the RE handling
between 2.3RC4 and 2.3.

Do other REs work OK for you?
Any errors in the log file?
