[jira] Commented: (DIR-271) Project Metadata

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIR-271?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12934210#action_12934210 ]

Stefan Seelmann commented on DIR-271:
-------------------------------------

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site-tools/trunk/projects/files.xml lists 4 DOAP files:
  http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/directory/project/trunk/resources/doap_Directory.rdf
  http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/directory/apacheds/trunk/doap_apacheds.rdf
  http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/directory/studio/trunk/doap_dirstudio.rdf
  http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/directory/triplesec/trunk/doap_triplesec.rdf

The results are listed here:
  http://projects.apache.org/indexes/pmc.html#Apache%20Directory

Especially the 'project' file is totally outdated and lacks short and long descriptions.

I guess the 'project' file is used when Apache Directory is listed as 'Featured Project' at the ASF home page because in that case the description text remains empty.

We should also check that the descriptions are the same than the descriptions on the website (see also DIR-267).

What should we do with Triplesec? I'd suggest to remove the link from the list.
