ViewCVS with fsfs
Hi,
Has anyone been able to use ViewCVS with the new fsfs?
I'm currently getting the error:
'Berkeley DB error while opening environment for filesystem
/usr/local/svn/repos/db:\nInvalid argument', 160029
If ViewCVS doesn't support this, are thier other web interfaces that do?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

I've been using viewcvs with fsfs for a while. Everything works fine.
The key difference for me is that my web server is running as the user
that owns the repository. The message you posted looks like a
permissions problem.

Yep, I've been using ViewCVS with an FSFS repository for about a month.

That's strange... you're getting a BDB error while trying to access an
FSFS repository? How was the repository created?

Any chance that your Python bindings are older than your Subversion
libraries? That you've got Subversion 1.0.x bindings trying to open a
1.1.x repository (and failing because since there was no fsfs in
1.0.x, they assume BDB back-end)?

Hello,
I'm using ViewCVS on FSFS repositories without any problems.
The only thing I cared about was right to access to repositories.
The user that run apache should have read access to repositories (and write
access to enable modifications thru http connections.
The access should be set recursivly.

Laurent
