Right now, Cordova seems limited to apps that run within a sandbox. However, some environments provide a way to interact with the underlying operating system.For instance, it would be nice if I could run a script against the local machine. 

This would require elevated privelages, which the user would need to accept. However, it would open the door for more automation.
