https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=52046

             Bug #: 52046
Summary: Unable to read the FOP pdf file thru QTP
           Product: Fop
           Version: all
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows Server 2003
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P2
         Component: pdf
        AssignedTo: fop-dev@xmlgraphics.apache.org
        ReportedBy: sumititer@gmail.com
    Classification: Unclassified

We have created the PDF file thru APache FOP but when we are unable to read the
data thru QTP(it's an HP Automation tool).

Do u have any addin's to install with QTP to read the FOP pdf?

Is their any tool which convert the Apache FOP to Adobe PDF file?

I have attached the screenshot which give's u a fair idea that how the FOP pdf
file behaving when working with QTP, while capturing the data in FOP PDF it
does not return any value.

For more reference please the attached file.

Output FOP PDF file is created successfully thier is not problem in that thing.
But while trying to read the text thru QTP we are not able to extractthe data.

Do we have any code in VBSCRIPT /tool to do it.

Note :- Text is readable by QTP, when the pdf is created from Adobe pdf
generator. For doing this we just need to install a plugin called Acro QTP.

FOP produces Adobe PDF. If there is a PDF compliance error in the output PDF,
then you need to identify that error buy providing more information, such as
the original input FO and output PDF files.

Have you tested the output PDF produced by FOP using other PDF readers?

What FOP version do you use?
What QTP version do you use?
Is there any error message from QTP?

Reading your description, it's difficult to point the source of the issue.

FOP or QTP?
