Stable Release?

Hello all,

    I am thinking of using velocity in the near future for a project.
Can someone please clarify for me the status of the development of
Velocity? The information on the web page is ambiguous and it seems that
only nightly builds are available and I am having trouble building them.
Any help or insight would be great. Thanks!
