<textarea> broken in HTML serializer
Summary: <textarea> broken in HTML serializer
Product: Cocoon 2
Version: Current CVS
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: Other
Component: sitemap components
AssignedTo: cocoon-dev@xml.apache.org
ReportedBy: u.cei@cbim.it
The HTML Serializer outputs an empty <textarea/> element when the input is an
empty <textarea> element. This confuses both IE and Mozilla, which expect an
empty textarea to be written as <textarea></textarea>. Both browsers take all of
the page's content following the <textarea/> tag as the textarea's initial value.
