DatePicker doesn't use the current Locale in its formatter
Summary: DatePicker doesn't use the current Locale in its
formatter
Product: Tapestry
Version: 3.0
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Build
AssignedTo: tapestry-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: karel.miarka@issa.cz
DatePicker works fine in default locale, but when it is changed it doensn't
accept any values inserted by the javascript calendar, because it cannot parse
the month names in the different locale.
IMHO the line 143 of DatePicker.class (I have Tapestry beta 3) should look like
this:
SimpleDateFormat formatter = new SimpleDateFormat(format, getPage().getLocale
());
eg. the locale should be passed into the SimpleDateFormat instance.
(But I have not tried to recompile tapestry with that change yet).
Regards,
Karel
