[jira] [Created] (INFRA-4991) diffs from anon cms don't cleanly
apply
David Nalley created INFRA-4991:
-----------------------------------
Summary: diffs from anon cms don't cleanly apply
Key: INFRA-4991
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4991
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: public (Regular issues)
Components: CMS
Reporter: David Nalley
Priority: Minor
Recently received this from from the anonymous CMS functionality
https://cms.apache.org/redirect?new=anonymous;action=diff;uri=http://cloudstack.apache.org/cloudstack%2Findex.mdtext
(assuming this remains up after I make the commit.
I chose to download the diff and tried to apply it and received this:
[ke4qqq@mba site]$ patch -p0 <~/Downloads/index.mdtext
patch: **** rejecting absolute target file name: /trunk/content/cloudstack/index.mdtext
The diff contains:
Index: /trunk/content/cloudstack/index.mdtext
===================================================================
--- /trunk/content/cloudstack/index.mdtext (revision 1355197)
+++ /trunk/content/cloudstack/index.mdtext (working copy)
Notice the absolute paths there? I admit I have forgotten lots about svn since I moved to git as my primary vcs - but should the paths be absolute?
