Newbee Question

Hi,
I am new to slide or any content management system. I have installed slide and I am able to access the URL.
Now I see the default store having links like users, roles etc. I am not able to find out how to upload, download, version control files. Is there any application build on slide which can demonstrate all the capabilities of slide ?
